My client handles huge projects across the group producing mailing house solutions ranging from laser printing, data management to polywrapping and personalisation. They are a true leader within their field. Based in huge new premises in County Durham all services are housed under one roof, making them a cost-effective and viable solution for many leading named organisations.
Due to continued success and expansion my client is looking to appoint an IT Systems Developer to work on the bespoke development of systems across the business and analyse, architect and deliver technical solutions.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Analysis of business needs to identify technical solutions.
- Bespoke development of solutions to support business requirements using Microsoft.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL, HTML & VB.
- Testing solutions, ensuring first right time bug free solutions are delivered to end users.
- Database administration and development of systems, to include performance analysis and testing.
- Documenting solutions and ensuring system specifications have been met.
- Analysis, specification and writing of reports to accommodate business needs.
- Working with customers and suppliers as necessary to develop end-to-end business needs solutions to facilitate the needs of the business and its customers.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience within:
- Programming (C#/VB)
- Experienced in ASP.NET development and using MVC framework.
- Good knowledge of developing within the Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
- Excellent knowledge of LINQ to SQL and SQL and other relationship databases.
Knowledge within the following areas would be a distinct advantage:
- Experience of MS Source Control or Team Foundation Server.
- Experience of agile development processes.
- Awareness of the .Net Compact Framework and development for Windows CE devices.
- Ability to interpret information and take appropriate action with minimum guidance.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
