The Role:
Due to the increase in the volume of incoming enquiries and orders, a vacancy has arisen for an Internal Sales Engineer. The role involves processing enquiries against clients' specifications with a technical approach and the completion of bid documentation on prestigious projects within the UK. Key to the role is liaising between clients and European colleagues to produce competitively priced "product packages" that meet the customers' technical and commercial requirements. This is an internally focused role, with an emphasis on the processing of information with a client centric approach, whilst juggling many tasks simultaneously ensuring client satisfaction is focused on. Design & Engineering experience/expertise is a distinct advantage to progress within the role.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Liaising with global partners in line with their capabilities, providing detailed proposals and seeing orders through from receipt to delivery technically advising customers on the correct product details for their application whilst also offering the customer a commercially / financially attractive offer
- Managing customers accounts and building strong relationships through good service
- Internal expediting - chasing colleagues for quotes or information is critical with UK and EU colleagues
- Document control (good file management)
- Working on large projects both as part of a team or individually own
- CAD Drawings in urgent cases (Basic 2D line drawings)
- Collation of performance data for monthly analysis and reporting
- Any other reasonable duties within your skills and capabilities as directed by your manager
The Person:
The ability to chase parties for information, deal with customer's demands and the strength to work under pressure are essential. A strong commercial awareness is also important. Successful applicants will ideally have a relevant qualification or suitable relevant experience in Design, engineering or computer aided design. Excellent communication skills are essential for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The successful applicant will also have excellent computer skills, especially office applications. Adaptability, patience, multi tasking as well as a technical and sales background are the key criteria for success in this position.
