Are you an experienced 1st Line IT Support Engineer? Have you recently completed a relevant IT Qualification?

Baltic Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Permanent 1st Line IT Support Engineer working for a Tech Focused Training Provider based in Newton Aycliffe. Acting as the first point of contact for technical helpdesk support to all end users. Operating within a helpdesk ticketing system, working with other 1st Line Engineers to deliver an outstanding service. Working on a multi-site organization, you will be required to provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, web based platforms and if necessary, in person. Monitoring and maintaining the Company computer and communication systems and networks; providing technical support.

1st Line Support Engineer Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support via a helpdesk ticketing system
  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults
  • Monitoring and providing technical support on our systems, networks and communication systems
  • Support with system installations and integrations
  • Challenge our 3rd Line IT Support provider to ensure they are providing relevant support and advice, along with meeting the agreed SLA

1st Line Support Engineer Applicants:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working on an IT Helpdesk/IT Support role
  • Experience in the installation and configuration of hardware, software, systems, networks, telephony, and other devices
  • Hold a relevant IT qualification
  • Demonstrated understanding and working with different networks such as: LAN, WAN, MAN and GAN
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, networks and devices
  • Full UK Driving license (desirable)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Ability to handle clients professionally during all interface providing great customer service
