LGV Class 2 Driver

Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for LGV Class 2 Driver, working for a Manufacturing and Production based in Wingate. As a direct result of our client’s continued successes and increased demand in products, the business has identified the need for additional LGV Class 2 Driver to join the existing team.
A busy family owned dairy is looking for an operative to join their team of dairy staff. The role will be in the main dairy and involve multiple tasks to aid in the bottling and packing of milk into many formats. Full training will be given (on the job mainly) to enable you to succeed.
LGV Class 2 Driver Role responsibilities include
- Job involves delivering milk in wheeled trolleys, in 18-26t vehicles to local retailers, wholesalers, hospitals and dairymen on behalf of a family-run dairy business.

- Ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience of class 2 driving, have no more than 6 penalty points, an up to date CPC and his/her own transport.
Good references are essential, as is a good attendance record.
Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of current vehicle inspection and tachograph regulations is required.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, ideally as part of a team, along with a track record of reliability.
Driving licence is essential for this role due to location.
Salary is £27,000 per annum with overtime paid for any hours in excess of 45.
Although we’d prefer 2 years’ experience, we do have a rigorous driving assessment prior to starting, so we’re able to be flexible, provided the applicant’s standard of driving is up to scratch.

Hours of Work
Start time is typically between 3.30am – 5am, based upon a variety of delivery routes (up to 30 drops per day), with flexibility on start times required occasionally.
Total working time is no more than 45 hours per week on set runs and, whilst the business works Monday to Sunday, drivers are only required to work 5 of those days, with Sundays typically off. All hours worked are strictly in line with existing rules and regulations.
