Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a well-established engineering company with a proud heritage of delivering high-quality, precision components across multiple sectors. Due to sustained growth and increasing demand, they are now seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join their experienced team and play a key role in maintaining the exceptional standards the business is known for.

Successful candidates will begin in the workshop, gaining familiarity with company processes, equipment and standards. Once established, opportunities for in situ work will become available across the UK and internationally.

One week you could be working on a vessel in the Caribbean, the next in a steel works in India. Projects range from large-scale industrial shutdowns with bigger teams to specialist 2-man assignments. No two jobs are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating manual lathes, mills and borers.

• Machining to tight tolerances from drawings or samples.

• Precision repair work.

• On-site line boring, flange facing and shaft machining.

• Setting up portable in situ machining equipment.

• Working safely in demanding industrial environments.

• Liaising professionally with clients on site.

Key Requirements:

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship (essential).

• Proven manual machining experience.

• Confident, resourceful and capable of working independently.

• Valid passport.

• Willing to travel worldwide at short notice.

• Prepared to remain on site for up to 5 weeks before return to the UK.

• Full UK driving licence preferred.

The Package:

• £40,000 – £45,000 with OTE in excess of £65,000

• 8AM-4PM Mon-Thurs and 8AM-3PM on Friday.

• 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (33 total).

• Extensive overtime while on site.
