The role of the Stock Controller:
As a member of the Stock Control team your mission is to effectively support with the movement of stock in and out of our finished goods warehouse. You will be responsible for managing the stock for one of our key customers and liaising with them directly. It is imperative that you have excellent customer service and communication skills for this role as well as being prepared to be ‘hands on’.
This role suits someone that has had previous stock control experience that wants to develop their career into a customer service role or vice versa, someone with customer service experience that wants to develop their career and gain some hands on experience in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities of the Stock Controller:
Accurate receipting of deliveries, ensuring that goods received are quality checked and correspond with the appropriate documentation as well as maintaining the computerised inventory system accurately.
Accurate picking of stocks.
Liaising with suppliers and in-house production regarding stock replenishments to ensure stock levels are maintained
Liaise with one of our key customer’s regarding events they hold throughout the year and arranging for the relevant stock items to be delivered to the event and collected, this includes preparing the stock for transport, arranging the transport to and from the event and checking the stock when it returns.
Develop and maintain expert standards of product knowledge
Apply a helpful and courteous manner towards colleagues and customers, remaining reliable, supportive and flexible as the business demands.
Skills we are looking for:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Must be highly organised, structured and flexible
Have a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst keeping a calm, level-headed approach
Strong IT skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, day shift – we can be flexible on the working hours
